Royal Mail
Since 2001 the Royal Mail has been upgrading its communication networks to its mail sorting machines, involving high level out of hours works for fibre optic and cat 5e and cat6 cabling.

2 Nationwide roll out projects have been undertaken for all 72 mail centres to a total exceeding 1000 machines and terminals.

Throughout this period the centres have also undergone numerous moves and changes for the machine positions and the total moves over the last 5 years has taken our total number of visits past 200.
All works involve cabling installations on scissor lifts and boom lifts up to 15m in height and all works are carried out of hours.

Wolseley Group
The Wolseley group consists of approximately 1500 locations throughout the UK as well as throughout the world. NM Cabling has been chosen to install data cabling systems into a portion of these locations, such as Parts Centre, Drain centre, Build centre and Bath Store.

As part of these projects 155 Bath Store locations required a national rollout for an upgrade to its data network all of which required completion inside a 6 week period.
Our company also undertook project management and data installations for two warehouse relocations in Newbury and Worcester for the group which involved a total new warranted data system and fibre optic link system.


Broadsystems (News International)
Broad systems employed our company to provide an upgrade to their communication room facilities in their head office and satellite office locations.

Our company built resilient hosting data centers for the company as well as manage their relocations and moves and changes in the offices located at Manchester, Bristol, NW London and Camden.

The upgrades required new data cabling to desk relocations, new power requirements to the communication room servers and all linked back to a new dedicated power board.

To install resilience into the room, new air conditioning units, UPS systems and Generators were installed to protect any eventuality or system failure.

All works had to be undertaken out of hours and on critical time management due to the need to have minimal down time for their servers and customers. The total project was project managed by our company.


Phoenix IT
In 2001 our company began installations for Phoenix IT for their 3 call centre location in Northampton.

As well as the new centre installations, works were required to restructure the current communications rooms, and upgrade the current administration data cabling and power requirements.

Our works involved installation for data cabling, fibre optic cabling, power outlets and lightning systems, as well as UPS installations and generators.

These projects involved in excess of 4000+ outlets and installations.


Park Plaza Hotels
For PPH locations in Victoria and Baker Street our company was given the cabling installation for every low voltage cable within the facilities.

Cabling was required for Data, Telephone, Fibre Optic, Microphones, Televisions, Speakers, Conferencing, Mini Bars and Access Control.

This resulted in approximately 10,000 cable outlets installed over a 18 month period.

Communication cabling upgrades were also installed for the group at their Shaw park plaza location.


London Borough of Barnet
Since 2000 our company has been an approved installer for data installations for the borough.

Installation have been undertaken for Libraries, Schools, Colleges, Offices, Children’s Centres, Youth Centres and all associated council locations.

In 2006 a 50 centre roll out project was completed for the upgrade to a VOIP phone and software upgrade which included a requirement for all new cabling and communication room systems.

During this period a vast cabling upgrade was implemented in the town hall to accommodate these new systems, with new communication rooms being moved and created.


Bournemouth Council
For the restructuring of the council library facilities our company has installed new data systems to accommodate new library layouts, closures and amalgamations.

These projects have been undertaken on a roll out basis and at many times out of hours in accordance with the roll out programs.

Our company has also undertaken cabling in the councils office facility based at the central library for the administration staff.
